“TREAT YOUR FEET” is a digital fashion capstone project featuring a new product and fashion business model for STOLL.

Foot deformities is found to be a common issue world wise and can cause severe pain and inconvenience. There’s huge potential in making foot devices on correcting foot disorders. Hence this project focuses on utilizing the knitted techniques that STOLL already has to create a customized and fashionable foot orthosis for people’s daily use. The new product, knitted foot corrector, is made to be soft and comfortable for wearing a long time, convenient, high in invisibility and attractive in appearance.

Bunion Turner and Socks with Removable Knitted Arch Cushions are two main designs of this project. The former one makes use of different knitting techniques creating area of various tension to straighten the big toe. For the later one, knitted cushions of different heights can be inserted to adjust the level of arch support provided. Foot scanning is also recommended for better understanding of foot condition and hence more effective customization.

To further support personalization of the product, a mobile app is built. It is convenient to use and makes reordering easier. It also serves as a tool for users to freely design their own personalized and fashionable socks. Hence sharing authenticity with a wider audience and raise brand awareness and brand loyalty.
