Background of the collaboration
By knowing the design concept and researching on AIRSIDE’s theme, students were asked to design collection of uniforms for AIRSIDE staff, covering concierge team or customer service staff, front-line building staff, and ad hoc part-time helpers. The collaboration was a 3-month project that involved 30 students majoring in BSc (Hons) Digital Fashion and 10 students majoring in BA (Hons) Scheme in Fashion and Textiles. During the 3 months, the students communicated their ideas with the Nan Fung team, revised them based on input, and worked to design and prototype their creations.
On one hand, this project contributes to the community by bridging and matching students’ talents to actual business needs while showcasing our students’ potential and capability. On the other hand, this project also gives students a valuable experience to learn from real-life problem-solving experience and learn from professionals in the industry.
